The hiring amount for this position is between $25.00 and $30.00 an hour. Offer is dependent on qualifications, course type, and internal equity. This is a non-exempt, temporary (variable/limited-hour) position, and is not eligible for city benefits. The Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for planning, which may include but is not limited to activities such as circuits and lesson plans for skill progressions throughout the session. This includes hands-on instruction and supervision of basic gymnastics skills, which include but are not limited to stretching techniques, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, and general skill progression drills such as donkey kicks and jumps. Higher skill level classes are expected to begin to put together short routines and series of skills. Instruction may target individuals or groups across the age and ability spectrum. Primarily and most frequently, work is performed under direct supervision within one functional area and is of a routine nature. Reports to a Parks and Recreation Operations Specialist.
