EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE - Associate degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education, or related field - OR - 60 semester hours of college/university level course work from an accredited institution - OR - Obtain qualifying score to pass the ParaPro Assessment. A condition of employment may be considered for qualified applicants. - All employees must satisfactorily complete any required trainings - All employees must meet all mandated federal and state health requirements CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Instructional Assistant Student Support ESE: Satisfactory completion required within 6-month period of the following training and/or certification provided by the District: - Pediatric First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) - First Aid - Medication administration - Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - In addition, CPR and First Aid training must be completed every two years and CPI training needs to be kept current and renewed on a regular basis.
