Duties And Responsibilities
- Assemble and install fiber optic racks, shelves, and enclosures, ensuring organized cable management.
- Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables, connectors, and related telecom components.
- Install fiber ducts, cable trays, and other cable management systems to support optimal routing of fiber optic cables.
- Perform optical fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring quality signal transmission.
- Commission and test fiber optic telecom systems. Like Nokia ,Ciena DWDM system
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in fiber optics, including fiber breaks, signal loss, and misconfigurations.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure smooth integration and functionality of fiber optic systems.
- Document installation, configuration, and testing results, ensuring accurate records for client and regulatory purposes.
- Maintain and track inventory of tools, materials, and equipment required for fiber optic installation and maintenance projects.
Education & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with tools like, OTDR, SDH analyzer, OSA, OPM, Laser Source.
- Hands-on experience with
- Nokia & Ciena optical transmission product
- Proven experience in optical telecom installation and commissioning, with a strong understanding of fiber optics and related telecom technologies.
- Experience in installing fiber optic racks, shelves, cable trays, and ducts to support fiber management.
- Familiarity with telecom equipment and network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers.
- Willingness to travel and work in field environments.
- Oman driving license will be add on
About The Role
Responsible for the installation, testing, and basic commissioning of telecom equipment, ensuring proper integration and performance according to project requirements and industry standards.
