The Aerospace Inspection Technician is responsible for performing inspection activities in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
This role supports the production of structurally sound aerospace components by verifying product characteristics and associated documentation to ensure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities Perform inspection processes as defined by work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements.
Verify product characteristics and manufacturing documentation using visual, mechanical, contact, and non-contact inspection methods.
Confirm correct quantities, quality, and configuration of parts and materials.
Perform first article inspections in accordance with site policies and procedures.
Execute customer and regulatory delegated inspection activities when authorized and maintain delegated authority as required.
Identify, document, and support resolution of non-conformances through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Test and evaluate components for defects and workmanship issues.
Maintain tools and ensure a clean, organized, and well-maintained workspace.
Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality directives.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and inspection process enhancements.
Any other job duties as assigned Job Qualifications Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, including assembly and/or inspection activities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• 1+ years of experience with inspection methods, techniques, and work instructions.
• Awareness of AS9100 series requirements and Lean practices.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
