Role Overview

Deliver professional training programs, supervise trainees, support inspection activities, and contribute to business development.

The position is intended for a trainer with extensive inspection knowledge and hands-on industry experience.

Education and Experience

  • Degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, or an equivalent approved qualification.
  • Requires 10–12 years of experience in lifting, construction, or elevator inspection and training.
  • Requires strong knowledge of international lifting equipment codes and standards and proficiency in inspection and training techniques.
  • Requires report writing, computer application, and English communication skills; Arabic is an added advantage.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review and approve inspection procedures and training materials.
  • Supervise trainers and training delivery and verify non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Deliver technical training, support inspection activities, identify business opportunities, and coordinate with internal departments.

QatarEnergy Requirements

  • QatarEnergy Approved Inspector status requires at least 3 years of inspection and certification experience after obtaining LEEA Level 3.
  • QatarEnergy Approved Trainer status requires at least 3 years of teaching experience in the lifting industry and completion of an internationally recognized Train-the-Trainer program.

Discipline Qualifications

  • LEEA discipline qualifications may include Part 1 Entrance, Lifting Gear General, Lifting Machines Manual, and Lifting Machines Power.
  • Electrical discipline knowledge includes BS 7671 17th Edition and BS 2381.
  • Elevator discipline knowledge includes EN 81, EN 115, and BS 2830.
  • Pressure discipline knowledge includes PED, EN 764, EN 12959, EN 12953, EN 14570, and API 510.
  • At least 7 years of pressure vessel and boiler inspection experience is specified for the pressure discipline.
  • Third-party inspection experience and five years of in-service elevator inspection experience are preferred or advantageous where applicable.

Additional Specialized Training

  • Hazardous Areas Training for Zone II, NDE/NDT certificates, H2S Awareness, Breathing Apparatus Training, firefighting and basic safety courses, and offshore or sea survival are listed as specialized training.
