Role overview
Inspectors will support quality and compliance for roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
The role works with Resident Engineers, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Inspect civil engineering works and review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Supervise sites, monitor contractor activities, and maintain quality and safety compliance.
- Prepare daily reports, inspection records, correspondence, and audit documentation.
- Conduct surveying checks, measurements, and pipe alignment and level verification.
- Monitor commissioning, handover, project milestones, and compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering is required.
- At least 7 years of experience on similar roads and infrastructure projects is required.
- At least 3 years of UAE experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction practices, quality control, safety standards, contracts, drawings, and specifications is required.
- Proficiency in site measurement, surveying, inspection software, and related tools is required.
- English communication skills and knowledge of Abu Dhabi building codes are required.
- RTA Approval is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to work independently, collaboratively, and on-site in various weather conditions.

- The role is based on-site and may require work in various weather conditions.
- New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
