Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of building construction projects at various stages and document findings accurately.
• Verify compliance with approved architectural drawings, building codes, and UAE construction regulations.
• Assess construction materials, methods, and workmanship against established quality standards.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of inspections, violations, and corrective actions.
• Identify deficiencies, safety hazards, and non-compliance issues and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and construction teams to resolve issues.
• Photograph construction progress and areas of concern for project records.
• Recommend corrective measures and verify implementation.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in building projects.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture.
• Proven experience as a Building Inspector, Construction Inspector, or in a similar inspection role.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical plans.
• Proficiency in quality assurance and compliance verification procedures.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection schedules efficiently.
• Background in construction project management or site supervision is preferred.

Workplace

• The position is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and involves on-site construction inspections.
• New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
