Inpatient Coder - Remote Opportunity (SC, Beaufort)

Beaufort Memorial is seeking an experienced hospital coder with strong knowledge of both ICD-10-PCS and CPT coding.

This position is responsible for accurately coding diagnoses and procedures for acute-care inpatient and outpatient hospital services, including psychiatric, rehabilitation and other assigned accounts.

The coder reviews medical record documentation, assigns ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS codes as appropriate, and ensures coding is complete, accurate and compliant with official coding guidelines.

also include assigning the appropriate MS-DRG for inpatient accounts and APC for outpatient accounts.

The successful candidate will have recent inpatient hospital coding experience and be able to work independently without extensive inpatient coding training.
