Innovation Hub Solution Engineer - Application Development

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver strategy sessions, envisioning workshops, architecture design sessions, and rapid prototypes for customers.
• Guide AI transformation journeys and prioritize AI use cases through design-thinking workshops.
• Own strategic visions for AI transformation initiatives across targeted accounts.
• Develop scalable, secure, and performance-optimized solution architectures.
• Integrate capabilities across the cloud platform and identify cross-platform opportunities.
• Maintain expertise in AI solutions, AI management and security, real-time intelligence, and application architecture.
• Shape technical programs and assets and connect technical capabilities to sales opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• A master's degree plus 4 or more years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, a bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years, or 7 or more years of equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years as a Solutions Architect or equivalent, including hands-on software architecture and development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Eight or more years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, technology delivery, or related experience.
• Six or more years with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture, migrations, standards, or technology management.
• Relevant technology certifications and enterprise architecture experience.
• Consultative selling, requirements capture, design thinking, and AI solution design experience.
• Proficiency in GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps automation, Python, Azure AI Foundry, or agentic AI development.

Compensation

• The typical base pay range for this Solution Engineering IC5 role across Canada is CAD 128,000 to CAD 222,400 per year.

Workplace

• This role is 100% onsite at Microsoft.
