Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders including:

Manage commercial relationships with logistics vendors and service providers.

Negotiate rates, contracts, SLAs, and commercial terms.

Validate vendor invoices against agreed rates and actual service delivery.

Ensure proper governance over additional charges, claims, penalties, and recoveries.

Conduct periodic vendor performance and commercial reviews.

Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and strategic sourcing.

Support procurement/commercial teams during logistics tenders and contract negotiations.

Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable logistics regulations.

Implement robust operational controls across warehouses and transportation.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental standards.

Conduct periodic operational and safety audits.

Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.

Establish business continuity and contingency plans for critical logistics operations.

Ensure proper incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and operations professionals.

Manage both direct employees and outsourced/contract manpower.

Define roles, responsibilities, objectives, and performance expectations.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Identify training and development requirements.

Build a strong performance-oriented culture.

Improve employee productivity, engagement, and retention.

Develop succession plans for critical operational positions.

Ensure adequate manpower planning based on business volumes and operational requirements.
