About The Role
- Reporting to Council’s Coordinator Work Health and Safety, this position will play a key role in supporting the health, wellbeing and recovery of our employees.
- Working closely and proactively with all stakeholders, you will facilitate the effective management of Council’s workers compensation and injury management cases, coordinating timely, sustainable and compliant return to work outcomes.
- You will also provide specialist advice and support to leaders on workers compensation matters, including case management, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and people focused professional to support employees through their recovery journey while helping Council maintain a positive and proactive approach to workplace health and wellbeing.
- Council will consider both full time and part time (28 hours per week) working arrangements.
To be successful you will bring

- Relevant qualifications in workers compensation claims management, return to work programs, injury management or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in workers compensation and injury management, with a strong understanding of the processes.
- Proven sound knowledge of NSW workers compensation and WHS legislation.
- Proven experience coordinating return to work programs.
- Proven high level organisational, case management, and confidentiality management skills.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with stakeholders at all levels.

- A full time annual salary range of $70,800 to $81,200 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
