Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for electrical and civil infrastructure projects, including cable routes, substations, street lighting, and related utilities.
- Update drawings to reflect design changes, site conditions, and as built information.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, clear, and compliant with relevant codes.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to clarify requirements, resolve design issues, and support project execution.
- Maintain organized drawing records and coordinate with external stakeholders when needed.
- Contribute to design reviews and quality checks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in technical drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools) for infrastructure, electrical layouts, and civil works.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to substations, cable routing, and utilities.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and electrical design principles, including underground services, street lighting, and substation arrangements.
- Attention to detail in preparing, revising, and checking drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, site teams, and project managers.
- Organizational skills to manage drawing registers, document control, and multiple project deadlines.
- Diploma or technical qualification in drafting, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a draftsman/drafter in infrastructure, utilities, or electrical contracting projects in the Gulf region is an advantage.
- Familiarity with local authority standards and regulations applicable to infrastructure and electrical networks is preferred.

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Infrastructure Draftsman role based in Abu Dhabi.
- The Infrastructure Draftsman prepares detailed technical drawings and layouts for electrical and civil infrastructure projects, including cable routes, substations, street lighting, and related utilities, based on engineering specifications and design standards.
- The role involves updating drawings to reflect design changes, site conditions, and as built information, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate, clear, and compliant with relevant codes.
- The Draftsman collaborates closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to clarify requirements, resolve design issues, and support project execution.
