Infrastructure Construction Health and Safety coordinator

Job Overview

Duties

• Monitor comprehensive health and safety plans tailored to infrastructure construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify hazards, enforce safety procedures, and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Collaborate with construction managers, site workers, and contractors to promote safety best practices.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, training activities, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Use construction management software to track safety metrics, schedule inspections, and manage documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction health and safety roles.
• Post-secondary certification in safety training specific to Ontario regulations.
• Familiarity with construction management software for reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of local health and safety regulations applicable to infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication skills for working with site teams.
• Ability to identify hazards proactively and implement effective mitigation.

Compensation

• Pay is $18.00-$30.00 per hour.
• Expected hours are 44.0 per week.
