Role Overview

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects supports the planning, management and execution of factories, grids, transit systems and public infrastructure.

The posting seeks junior project controls team support, with the internal title identified as Project Controls Specialist.

The role supports project delivery, governance, reporting, administration, assurance and continuous improvement for capital programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support project execution teams on cost, time, schedule, change management and reporting.
  • Develop integrated project controls plans covering scope, cost, schedule and progress.
  • Review project information and advise project execution teams on project health.
  • Prepare and review project controls deliverables with project managers and engineers.
  • Establish resources, tools, procedures and communications needed to implement control strategies.
  • Establish project breakdown structures and ensure cost and scheduling systems are compatible.
  • Provide commercial management, contract administration and related advisory services.
  • Support procurement, contract governance, negotiations, change orders, claims, invoice compliance and contract closeout.
  • Follow procedures for consistency and escalate process deficiencies or improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of similar experience in a rail transit or large capital infrastructure program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or finance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project controls practices and procedures.
  • In-depth experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Understanding of WBS, RBS, CBS, CPM-based scheduling and Earned Value Measurement.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and business and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.

Working Conditions

  • The role is office-based and requires four days in the office.

Compensation

  • The British Columbia annual salary range is $82,000 to $123,000.
  • Compensation varies based on office location, role, skills and experience.
