About the Role

- Provide desktop, laptop, and peripheral troubleshooting for Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Provision and deprovision corporate devices
- Perform office IT infrastructure support including network devices and AV equipment
- Manage hardware asset lifecycle including receiving, tagging, imaging, and disposal
- Coordinate with vendors and L2 teams for escalations and repairs
Requirements
- Experience in desktop support and end user computing
- Fluent in English (B2) and local language
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux OS
- Basic network troubleshooting skills

Job Overview
- L1 Desktop Support Engineer (FTE Role) 1 year extendable contract
- Onsite support in Dubai, UAE

User On Prem IT Support
- Desktop, laptop, and peripheral basic troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, Linux OS, printers, mobile phones)
- Provisioning and deprovisioning of corporate devices (laptops, phones)
- Replace broken devices with temporary devices per Ericsson processes
- Provide technical guidance to end users for day to day IT issues
- Coordinate with L2 teams when troubleshooting
Office IT Infrastructure Support
- Perform on office infra basic troubleshooting, installation, or maintenance for EIT services
- Install, test, and remove basic network devices such as switches, routers, and access points
- Network connectivity basic troubleshooting (Wi Fi, LAN)
- On prem support for smart metering and other real estate solutions
- Basic tasks for PABXs in coordination with L2 teams
- Print equipment receipt, install, and test the printer
- AV equipment receipt, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Workplace monitor deployment, testing, and logistics handling
- Provide support to remote Level 2 teams by troubleshooting and configuring local office infrastructure
- Onsite assistance during scheduled maintenance or escalations
- Coordinate with vendors or local service providers for repairs and equipment replacements
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions
Asset Management
- Receive, unbox, and register devices in hardware asset management system
- Tag/Label assets following Ericsson guidelines
- Test devices upon arrival and store securely
- Image in stock devices with latest approved OS images
- Update records regularly to maintain accurate inventory
- Perform periodic audits of hardware assets
- Wipe devices and arrange for disposal per Ericsson approved process
- Arrange temporary laptop loans from local stock
- Coordinate warranty repairs
- Clean/check devices before redeployment
- Offsite Tape management coordination with 3rd party supplier
- Assist during internal/external audits & SOX & other compliances
Project Based Site Support
- Support for office moves, equipment relocations, or hardware refresh projects
- Assist local business events such as AEMs, demos
