Position Summary

The Information Technology Specialist supports networks, workstations, servers, hardware, software, user accounts, and computer and telephone rooms.

The role provides technical troubleshooting, end-user support, system security, installations, and process improvements.

Information Technology Duties

  • Install, configure, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair networks, workstations, servers, hardware, and software.
  • Train users and provide technical guidance for systems and network communications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, LAN, WAN, internet, and program error issues.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements.
  • Plan and implement network security measures and manage network disk space.
  • Maintain device inventory, secure backup tapes, and support all applications.
  • Refer major problems to vendors or technicians and implement process improvements.

Workplace and Service Duties

  • Follow company policies, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
  • Address guest service needs, assist employees, and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Support quality, safety, productivity, efficiency, and cost-saving improvements.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Use computers and Point of Sale systems and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
  • The position has no supervisory experience requirement.

Workplace and Schedule

  • This is a full-time, non-management, on-site position at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal.
  • The position is not remote and involves work in a hotel environment.
