Information Technology Specialist (UAE National) - The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal

Position Overview

Technical Responsibilities

• Install, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair networks, workstations, servers, hardware, software, user accounts, and computer or telephone rooms.
• Train users in proper system use and security, provide end-user application support, and answer technical questions.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, LAN, WAN, internet, and program error issues, escalating major problems when necessary.
• Provide network communications support and technical guidance to users and colleagues.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems.
• Plan and coordinate technology installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements.
• Plan and implement network security measures.
• Manage network disk space, maintain device inventory, activate computer and equipment controls, and secure backup tapes.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move up and down stairs or ramps.
• Enter and locate information using computers and Point of Sale systems.
