The organisation is expanding through acquisition and has moved its core infrastructure into Azure.
Location and working pattern
- The role is based in central Manchester.
- The working pattern is hybrid, with two to three days on site.
Compensation and employment
- The stated salary range is £60,000 to £70,000 plus benefits.
- The position is permanent.
Responsibilities
- Own managed service partner service levels, escalations, incidents, and performance.
- Deliver internal workstreams and follow-ups needed to manage the outsourced service.
- Own Microsoft 365 adoption and optimisation, including Teams, Power Platform, and Copilot.
- Support cloud and infrastructure changes as additional parts of the group migrate.
- Bring acquired businesses into the technology environment.
- Oversee the outsourced security service and contribute to governance and risk.
- Manage procurement, contracts, renewals, and supplier relationships across operational technology.
- Build relationships and maintain a visible presence across several UK offices.
Required experience and approach
- Have client-side ownership of an outsourced managed service provider running service desk and first-line support.
- Bring strong Microsoft 365 knowledge, including Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, and the wider suite.
- Have enough Azure, infrastructure, and networking knowledge to manage a partner and support migration work.
- Be genuinely hands-on in a player-manager role within a small team.
- Be self-starting, dependable, and effective at following work through.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues who do not work in technology.
Desirable experience
- Experience with Microsoft tenant or domain migration or integrating acquired businesses.
- Experience in professional services or another regulated environment.
- Exposure to Power Platform, automation, or Copilot.
- Cyber Essentials, ITIL, Microsoft, or security certifications.
