Role Overview
The Information Technology Network Engineer will manage and optimize Cisco network infrastructure, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless controllers, and IP network infrastructure.
The role requires expertise in routing, switching, network security, load balancing, QoS, MPLS, and network monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Cisco network infrastructure and L2/L3 switching.
- Configure and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF routing.
- Manage Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, and security events.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless Controllers and Access Points.
- Implement server load balancing, QoS, MPLS, and ISP connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, security, and availability and proactively resolve issues.
- Conduct performance assessments and optimization and provide technical support to IT teams and users.
- Participate in on-call network support when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least four years of network and security management experience.
- Strong Cisco network technology and Palo Alto firewall experience.
- Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, L2/L3 switching, load balancing, QoS, and MPLS.
- Experience with network monitoring and security tools.
- Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Controllers and Access Point troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CCIE, CCNP, or PCNSE certifications are preferred.
