Information Security Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Duties include but are not limited to:
• Administering, configuring, and maintaining enterprise security technologies, including endpoint protection, SIEM, and identity and access management solutions;
• Monitoring, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, and threats;
• Conducting vulnerability scans, assessing findings, and coordinating remediation activities with IT teams;
• Supporting risk management of the administration of user access controls, privileged accounts, multi-factor authentications (MFA), and identity security initiatives;
• Analyzing system, application, and network logs to identify, investigate, and mitigate security risks;
• Supporting security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and cyber risk management activities;
• Implementing and maintaining security controls aligned with organizational policies and industry frameworks, including NIST and ISO 27001;
• Performing security system updates, patching, hardening, and ongoing maintenance activities;
• Supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements through documentation, reporting, and evidence collection;
• Collaborating with stakeholders to promote cybersecurity awareness and secure technology practices across the University;
