Position Overview
The Information Security Engineer provides technical execution of Maricopa County's Information Security Program.
The role implements and manages security controls within county data systems and infrastructure under the direction of Enterprise Security Architects.
The program uses a defense-in-depth security model to identify, manage, and reduce cybersecurity risks.
Compensation and Job Type
- The pay range is $86,000 to $145,500 annually.
- The position is classified as Unclassified and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of related information technology experience are required.
- Three years of experience as an information security professional are required.
- One year of technical engineering experience must cover IAM, data security or DLP, and application security testing and validation.
- A bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required, with equivalent education and job-related experience accepted year for year.
- Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
- Candidates must maintain at least one approved information security certification or similar certification.
