Skills and experiences

• Recent experience undertaking a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of data protection legislation, particularly UK GDPR, with strong attention to detail and the ability to apply legislation in a practical and proportionate way
• Experience supporting information governance, data protection or compliance activities within a medium to large organisation
• Experience reviewing and developing policies, procedures, governance documentation and other compliance artefacts
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and build effective working relationships across a range of audiences
• Proven ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, take ownership of tasks from initiation through to completion, and work independently whilst recognising when escalation or support is required
• A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to identify risks, analyse issues, make recommendations and drive actions to completion
• Good organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficient user of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
