Responsibilities
- Develop and implement industrial relations strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned with organizational objectives, labor legislation, and workforce engagement goals
- Lead employee and industrial relations programs, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace practices across the organization
- Manage relationships with employee representatives, labor unions, works councils, and government authorities where applicable
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations, employment agreement discussions, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, dispute resolution, and conflict management initiatives
- Collaborate with human resources, legal, operations, health and safety, compliance, payroll, and executive leadership to address workforce matters
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including employee relations cases, grievance resolution time, disciplinary outcomes, workforce engagement, absenteeism, labor disputes, compliance performance, and employee retention
- Provide expert guidance on labor legislation, employment contracts, workplace investigations, disciplinary procedures, organizational restructuring, and workforce transitions
- Conduct workplace investigations, root cause analyses, mediation sessions, and corrective action planning while maintaining confidentiality and procedural fairness
- Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on labor law, workplace conduct, conflict resolution, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations best practices
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, collective agreements, organizational policies, and ethical workplace standards
- Utilize HRIS, case management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and workforce analytics tools to monitor employee relations trends and generate actionable insights
- Prepare industrial relations reports, compliance dashboards, workforce analyses, executive briefings, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Relations, Law, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in industrial relations, employee relations, labor relations, human resources, or employment law roles
- 2+ years of experience managing industrial relations programs, employee relations teams, or labor negotiations preferred
- Strong understanding of labor legislation, employment law, collective bargaining, grievance management, disciplinary procedures, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution
- Experience with HRIS platforms, employee case management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, workforce analytics, and HR reporting tools
- Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, organizational, mediation, and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, relationship building, presentation, and cross functional collaboration abilities
- Ability to balance employee advocacy, organizational objectives, legal compliance, and operational effectiveness
