Role Description

  • The Industrial Operations Manager is a part time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on site presence and work from home flexibility.
  • Focus on overseeing and optimizing operational processes related to FMTC’s training programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, coordination with instructors, and continuous improvement of training delivery workflows.
  • Analyze operational performance, develop and implement process improvements, and ensure training services meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Daily responsibilities include managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, monitoring KPIs, preparing operational reports, and resolving logistical or process related issues.
  • Support strategic planning for capacity, technology use, and cost control to enhance the center’s overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial operations, operations management, or process engineering, preferably in training, education, or service environments.
  • Strong skills in process analysis, workflow design, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Ability to manage scheduling, resource planning, and logistics for multiple concurrent programs or projects.
  • Comfort with data analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting using spreadsheets and operations or ERP tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities in a hybrid work setting.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for coordinating with trainers, learners, and partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with quality management, risk assessment, and health and safety considerations in operational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are an advantage.
  • Experience working in multinational or cross cultural organizations, ideally within the GCC region, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate sound judgment.
