The Industrial Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence by improving manufacturing processes, increasing productivity, and optimizing resource utilization in a Switchgear Panel Manufacturing environment. The role involves conducting work measurement studies (Cycle Time, Route Time, and MOST), planning and executing plant layouts, leading automation and CAPEX projects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The position works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EHS, Finance, and external vendors to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, cost reduction, quality improvement, and on-time project execution. The Industrial Engineer also provides technical support for process development, equipment selection, layout modifications, civil coordination, and manufacturing optimization while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
Plan and implement Templates/Fixtures/Special tools/Material handling equipment for the assembly line.
Drive continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, quality and safety.
Design stud welding templates and fixtures in 3D cad software.
Regularly review assembly layout and plant layout and implement the changes.
