Role overview
RLC Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Industrial Engineer for its manufacturing team.
The role improves production performance across machining and assembly operations.
The focus includes CNC machining processes, manufacturing efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes across machining and production environments.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and industrial engineering techniques.
- Improve CNC machine utilisation, cycle times, setup reduction, tooling performance, and workflow efficiency.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and production planning.
- Identify bottlenecks in CNC machining cells and improve throughput and costs.
- Collaborate with CNC programmers and Manufacturing Engineers on machining strategies.
- Review manufacturing routes, process plans, and machining methods for requirements and safety compliance.
Skills and requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in aerospace, precision machining, defence, or advanced manufacturing.
