Schedule: Saturday- Monday 5:30am-5:30pm
- **Will Train on Day Shift
- Pay: $17–$19/hr + 20% shift differential
- American Products is hiring a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and well‑organized production and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment
- Clean plant floors using ride‑on and walk‑behind scrubbers and sweepers
- Empty trash throughout the facility
- Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift
- Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces
- Clean windows, walls, and high‑traffic areas
- Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance
- Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift operation required; position is safety sensitive
- Must wear required PPE, including steel‑toe boots and safety glasses
