Role Details
- Location: Mirdif, Dubai.
- Working hours are 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM on school days.
- Start date is ASAP due to an urgent hiring need.
- The role provides 1:1 support to a male Grade 3 learner in a school setting.
Employment Arrangement
This is a private family hire arranged directly through the family.
Employment terms, salary, and contractual arrangements will be agreed directly with the successful candidate and the family.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support across academic and non-academic activities throughout the school day.
- Run structured 1:1 teaching sessions based on the learner’s individualized program.
- Support academic learning, classroom participation, social development, emotional regulation, and transitions.
- Support Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as English and other academic subjects.
- Differentiate classroom tasks according to the learner’s skills, strengths, and learning needs.
- Encourage independence, communication, self-advocacy, and age-appropriate skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, the school SEN team, the family, and the learner’s BCBA.
- Participate in BCBA-provided training and ongoing supervision.
Essential Requirements
- Strong spoken and written English is required.
- Arabic reading ability is required, including support for Grade 3 Arabic and Islamic Studies.
- Candidates must know Arabic letters and sounds and support basic Arabic reading and written tasks.
