Role Overview
TMX is seeking an innovative, analytical, and detail-oriented Index Product Developer for its London team.
The role develops rules-based investment strategies and custom benchmarks for exchange-traded products and structured products globally.
The role owns index product development from client ideation and methodology construction through quantitative backtesting and operational handover.
Index Design and Client Engagement
- Develop bespoke index methodologies across multiple asset classes, focusing on thematic, factor, and custom equity indices.
- Define weighting rules, rebalancing schedules, and corporate action treatments.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert in client consultations.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends.
Collaboration and Operations
- Define product requirements, features, and functionality with cross-functional teams.
- Author index methodology rulebooks and manage testing and validation.
- Transition indices from testing into live daily calculation with internal teams.
- Manage timelines for successful delivery of new products to market.
