Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide functional consultant support for SAP SD within the application support team.
• Assist business users and end users with day-to-day SAP SD and front-end technology operations.
• Perform business and process analysis.
• Liaise with engineering, customer support, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support quality assurance and documentation activities.
• Work on new functional or technical areas as needed.
• Use SAP reports, module pools, SAP Scripts, forms, ALV reports, ALE/IDoc, service gateway, integrations, BADIs, BAPIs, SAP Queries, and object-oriented programming.
• Follow release and change management processes.
• Identify issue patterns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide user support and handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

Mandatory Skill Sets

• At least 3 years of IT experience in SAP SD.
• Working knowledge of SAP ABAP and debugging is required.
• Knowledge of SAP SD sales, returns, consignment, scheduling, credit, rush order, cash sales, and back-order processes.
• Good understanding of SAP MM and SAP FI integration.
• Knowledge of SAP and non-SAP integration using EDI, IDocs, and REST APIs.
• Experience in large enterprise landscapes spanning SAP, middleware, and other systems.
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring SAP, writing specifications, testing, and creating knowledge articles.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and monitoring skills.

Preferred Skill Sets

• SAP SD certification is preferred.
• ServiceNow, JIRA, incident management, and problem management experience are desirable.
• Strong user-support capability, attention to detail, creative problem solving, self-direction, and ability to manage shifting priorities are preferred.
