- Answer all In Room Dining calls promptly using proper etiquette, tone, and brand scripting
- Accurately take guest food and beverage orders, confirming preferences, special requests, dietary needs, and allergies
- Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate details clearly to the kitchen and service team
- Coordinate order timing, delivery, and follow up to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Anticipate guest needs, personalize service, and create memorable moments in line with Ritz Carlton service values
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, taking ownership and initiating service recovery when needed

- Less than 1 year related work experience
- No supervisory experience required

POSITION SUMMARY
- The In‑Room Dining Order Taker is responsible for delivering exceptional, personalized service to guests by accurately taking and coordinating in‑room dining orders in accordance with The Ritz‑Carlton Gold Standards.
- This role serves as a vital point of contact between guests, culinary, and service teams to ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer all In‑Room Dining calls promptly using proper etiquette, tone, and brand scripting.
- Accurately take guest food and beverage orders, confirming preferences, special requests, dietary needs, and allergies.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, promotions, and preparation methods.
- Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate details clearly to the kitchen and service team.
- Coordinate order timing, delivery, and follow‑up to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guest needs, personalize service, and create memorable moments.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, taking ownership and initiating service recovery when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the order‑taking and work area.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and Marriott policies and procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None.
