Responsibilities
- Forecast buying needs in coordination with production, sales, and inventory teams
- Raise purchase orders and ensure timely execution
- Track order progress and shipment status
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Ensure accurate shipping documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading)
- Monitor shipment schedules, transit times, and manage delays
- Liaise with engineering, quality, and production teams to align purchase specs and timelines
- Coordinate with finance on vendor payments and foreign exchange considerations
- Use ERP systems for order tracking and reporting
- Generate reports on vendor performance, cost savings, delivery reliability
- Align procurement schedules with production and inventory planning teams
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock outs or overstock

Cross Functional Coordination

- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock outs or overstock
- Handle urgent procurement requirements and expedite orders when necessary
