Responsibilities
- Manage end to end import operations from order placement to final cargo delivery
- Track shipment status, vessel schedules, ETAs, and shipment delays
- Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHAs, and logistics partners
- Verify import documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other regulatory documents
- Review HS code classifications and ensure regulatory compliance for imported products
- Handle customs clearance activities and monitor Bill of Entry filing status
- Respond to customs, CHA, and government authority queries
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, CDSCO, ICEGATE, BIS, and other applicable regulations
- Maintain and update import shipment trackers and MIS reports
- Monitor container arrivals, delivery schedules, demurrage, detention, and storage free days
- Verify freight, CHA, CFS, transportation, and logistics invoices
- Coordinate import payments, remittances, and documentation with the Finance team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in import operations, preferably in Cosmetics, Personal Care, Haircare, FMCG, or Packaging industry
- Strong experience importing cosmetic raw materials, finished cosmetic products, and packaging materials
- Hands on experience with DGFT, CDSCO registrations, import licensing, and regulatory compliance
- Thorough knowledge of customs clearance procedures, HS codes, ICEGATE, and import documentation
- Experience handling ocean and air freight shipments
- Good understanding of Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, etc.)
- Strong coordination skills with suppliers, freight forwarders, CHAs, and government authorities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and shipment tracking tools
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Commerce, or related field preferred

Role Overview
