Position Details
- The position is based in Vancouver, Canada, and follows a remote work model.
- The position is full-time and permanent.
- Standard business hours apply, with planned after-hours and weekend maintenance when required.
Position Overview
Support deployment, maintenance, and reliable operation of the Zema platform in an entry-level technical role.
Work with technical teams, internal stakeholders, and client-facing teams to implement changes accurately with minimal disruption.
Build hands-on experience in enterprise application implementation and operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with deployment and validation of updates, fixes, curve patches, and minor upgrades under supervision.
- Follow client onboarding, offboarding, environment-refresh, and change-management procedures.
- Prepare implementation checklists and complete smoke tests and assigned user acceptance testing.
- Maintain work records in Jira, Ivanti, and approved change-tracking tools.
- Check application services, connectivity, configuration, and scheduled jobs, escalating exceptions promptly.
- Support collection and validation of historical data for new or changed data processors.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with release, deployment, support, and delivery teams.
- Assist with middleware and configuration updates, including basic Tomcat and Java tasks.
- Maintain implementation evidence, test results, rollback information, and client documentation.
- Contribute to knowledge-base articles, reusable checklists, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance when required.
What You'll Bring
- Diploma, degree, or equivalent practical education in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in IT, technical support, application support, software implementation, or a related environment.
- Foundational understanding of software deployment and application environments.
- Ability to follow procedures, document work accurately, and troubleshoot technical issues systematically.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, ownership, communication, and collaboration.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and work in a change-controlled environment.
- Flexibility for scheduled after-hours and weekend maintenance.
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with Zema, Jira, Ivanti, or similar enterprise and service-management tools is desirable.
- Exposure to Linux, SQL, Tomcat, Java, scripting, smoke testing, user acceptance testing, or release validation is desirable.
- Interest in scripting, automation, and process improvement is desirable.
