The Sr.

Application Engineer p erforms engineering and project management duties as assigned by the Director of Application Engineering .

Responsible for engineering, project management, customer relationship management, and code compliance.

Mentors and trains less-senior team members.

• Works with the industrial engineering team, design analysis group, Sales, and customers to define system requirements and specifications
• Designs large, som e times complex static, semi-automated, and automated material hand ling systems; sp ecifies auxiliary equipment and systems
• Design s steel structures, including mezzanines, platforms, and ceiling hung st eel
• Specifies auxiliary equipment/systems, such as compressed air systems, lighting, sprinkler systems, data networks, convenience outlets, and generates electrical requirements
• Works with clients to specify peripheral equipment such as workstations, forklifts, carton erectors, case sealers, and other material handling equipment; e valuate s alternative tec hnologies
• Write proposals, evaluates vendor offers, and estimates project costs, including working with other Wynright groups and vendors
• Supports Sales, including visiting job sites for customer meetings and surveys
• Create s plans and drawings, including drawing s in AutoCAD 3D and working with sheet sets
• Ensures that designs are compliant with relevant codes, such as building, fire, CEMA, and OSHA
• Reviews the work of other department members, providing training and mentorship
• Identifies new technologies , equipment providers, fabricato rs, and subcontractors
