Carrier is seeking a customer-focused HVAC Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service HVAC equipment.
The role requires technical knowledge, safety and quality awareness, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with an integrated team.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out HVAC service, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities according to standard procedures.
- Inspect air-conditioning units, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Repair, replace, adjust, and maintain HVAC components and electrical or electronic control systems.
- Prepare technical reports, Job Cards, Job Completion Certificates, and EH&S site surveys.
- Estimate labor, tools, equipment, and materials for assigned work.
- Communicate work progress and recommendations to customers.
- Identify hazards, implement controls, and follow EH&S, quality, and operational procedures.
- Safely rig and set up lifting arrangements for heavy HVAC equipment.
- Manage tools, equipment, deliveries, usage, and inventory and use work-related applications.
- Attend EH&S and technical training and escalate technical, safety, or operational issues when required.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant HVAC industry or field experience.
- Valid Saudi driving license is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer orientation, and a team-player attitude.
- Basic computer and mobile application skills.
Technical knowledge
- Knowledge of HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair according to industry practices and manufacturer guidelines.
- Knowledge of EH&S practices, MSDS/SDS, safe handling, tools and equipment management, technical reporting, and quality practices.
- Basic knowledge of metal sheet work, electrical systems, carpentry, and Building Automation Controls.
- Minimum product knowledge includes DX and airside equipment and scroll chillers.
Work setting
- The role involves field HVAC service, maintenance, inspection, repair, customer communication, and site safety activities.
