Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment to optimize efficiency and longevity
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer manuals
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant system issues
- Install HVAC components and ensure proper system operation and calibration
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate service logs, parts usage, and work orders
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding service needs, recommendations, and estimated costs
- Operate and maintain service tools and diagnostic equipment
- Follow company and OSHA safety protocols, including confined space and lift operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration, and controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in confined spaces, and at heights
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Technical school or HVAC certification preferred
- OSHA safety certification preferred

Position Summary
- The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- The technician works independently or as part of a service team to provide timely solutions for commercial clients.
