About the Role
Archetype Group is hiring an HVAC Design Team Leader to supervise HVAC installation works on site in Ho Chi Minh City. The role requires leading a team, coordinating with other trades, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise HVAC installation works on site, including ducting systems, chilled water piping, equipment installation (AHU, FCU, VRF/VRV systems), in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate daily site activities with CSA, Electrical, Plumbing and other MEP trades to ensure smooth workflow and avoid clashes
- Review HVAC shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions prior to installation
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project quality standards, inspection and test plans (ITP), and safety requirements
- Carry out site inspections, testing and commissioning activities for HVAC systems, including air balancing and system performance checks
- Control manpower, materials, tools and equipment to achieve project schedule targets
- Identify technical issues on site and propose solutions to site management and engineers
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and coordinate with site engineers and project management team
- Ensure all HVAC works are executed in accordance with HSE regulations and site safety procedures
- Support final inspections, snagging, and handover activities including as built drawings and commissioning documentation
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related HVAC discipline
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HVAC design works, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leader role
- Strong technical background in HVAC systems including chilled water systems, VRF/VRV, ducting, AHU/FCU installation and commissioning
- Good ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Experience in coordinating with multiple trades in a construction site environment
- Knowledge of HVAC testing, balancing, and commissioning procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
- Intermediate written and spoken communication skills with a minimum basic understanding of English
