HVAC Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC system designs, including heat load calculations, equipment selection, ducting layouts, and sizing.
• Develop detailed HVAC design drawings, schematics, bills of quantities, and technical specifications.
• Design VRF/VRV, air and water chiller, ventilation, exhaust, ductable AC, heat pump, and associated piping systems.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Perform feasibility studies and energy efficiency analysis.
• Coordinate with architects, structural and electrical engineers, and contractors.
• Evaluate and approve HVAC equipment against design and performance requirements.
• Maintain design documents, calculation sheets, and technical reports.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Review vendor drawings, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Attend client meetings and provide design clarifications.
• Monitor design progress and document design changes.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, HAP, McQuay, and MS Office.
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualification and Experience

• B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Five years of HVAC design experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
