A reputed university in the UAE is seeking a strategic and experienced
Director Of Human Resources
- to lead the HR function.
- This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the university’s mission in teaching, research, and community engagement.
- The Director will oversee all aspects of human capital management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development.
- ***Key Responsibilities***
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the university’s strategic goals
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for faculty and staff
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and performance management systems
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and university policies
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters
- Promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Lead HR team operations, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives
- Drive leadership development and training programs across departments
- Utilize HR analytics to inform decision-making and workforce planning
Required
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in Higher education.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience in higher education or public sector environments
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
- Experience managing change in complex organizations
