Director Of Human Resources

• to lead the HR function.
• This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the university’s mission in teaching, research, and community engagement.
• The Director will oversee all aspects of human capital management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development.
• ***Key Responsibilities***
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the university’s strategic goals
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for faculty and staff
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and performance management systems
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and university policies
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters
• Promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
• Lead HR team operations, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives
• Drive leadership development and training programs across departments
• Utilize HR analytics to inform decision-making and workforce planning

Required

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in Higher education.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• Experience in higher education or public sector environments
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
• Experience managing change in complex organizations
