Job Description
- The Human Computer Interaction (HCI) area in the Computing and Mathematical Sciences Division at MBZUAI is looking for passionate and highly motivated Teaching Faculty in HCI for a six (6) month to one (1) year term.
Responsibilities
- Deliver courses in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), Interaction Design (IxD), Service Design and related areas.
- Develop course materials, including lectures, assignments, exams, and lab exercises.
- Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student interaction and critical thinking.
- Provide timely feedback and academic guidance to students.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Information Science, Cognitive Science, Design Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
- Demonstrated potential (for Assistant level) or established excellence (for Associate/Full level) in teaching and mentoring.
