ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruiting 2 positions 6-8 hrs. per week Duties: Contact interested, potential theatre students via email or phone; check Slate inquiries and admits weekly; set up campus theatre visits; work with HSU recruiting for visits; assist with program auditions; meet and greet new students and families at shows; provide tours of the theatre; attend state-wide recruiting events, when possible; assist with preview events. Must have strong organizational skills, writing and proofreading skills, strong interpersonal skills and should be a self-starter and able to work with or without supervision. Must be punctual and able to follow and complete a weekly checklist. Dress: casual, unless meeting students: business casual at that time. Promotional Director 2 positions 6 hrs. per week Duties : Maintain a weekly, detailed calendar of promotion duties for all shows of the 2024-25 season; create show collages after each production; prepare lobby with special displays for select productions (completed on the Tuesday that the show opens; ) update and change outdoor marquee weekly; create a Behind the Footlights feature or other promotional features for each show of our 2024-25 season; add to the HSU Facebook page and Instagram accounts on a regular basis; weekly emails (every Thursday) to HSU Marketing Director, Communications Director, Photography Director, and Brand contact. Create and send promotional slides for upcoming shows to tv monitor contacts across campus. Responsible for posters being placed on campus AND around Abilene at designated locations. Responsible for archiving past productions, digitally and with hard copies. Must have strong organizational skills, strong writing skills, some video and editing skills, strong interpersonal skills and should be a self-starter, punctual, able to meet deadlines, and work without supervision. This person is responsible for the creative promotion of the events at HSU Theatre. Business casual attire during work hours. Costume Shop 2 positions 6 hrs. per week - Afternoon work between 1:00-5:00, M-F is preferred.

Time will be split between storage areas and scene shop.

Will frequently lift 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Learn, understand, and abide by all safety policies and use of safety equipment and personal protection equipment.
Casual clothing appropriate for painting, building, lifting, climbing, moving, and stacking materials.
