HSS - Linux System Administrator

Provide first and second-line support for infrastructure incidents, requests, and problems.

Administer, support, and maintain enterprise Linux environments.

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure stable service delivery.

Perform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

Troubleshoot and resolve Linux operating system and infrastructure issues.

Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Ensure compliance with operational processes, policies, and security standards.

Identify opportunities for automation and continual service improvement.

Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.

Experience administering Linux operating systems such as RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, or SUSE.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience working within ITIL-based service environments.

Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.

Experience with Bash scripting and Linux command-line administration.

A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Ability and willingness to work onsite at the customer location five days per week.

Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.

Python and Git.

AWS cloud experience.

VMware, KVM, Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation experience.

Linux performance tuning and monitoring tools.
