CACHALOT TECHNICAL SHIP MANAGEMENT FZCO seeks an HSEQ/Marine Superintendent with DPA/CSO responsibilities for bulk carrier ships in Dubai. The role involves incident investigations, ISM/ISPS/MLC compliance, internal audits, safety management system improvement, and crew training.

Responsibilities
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis and follow up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor compliance with ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS and company Safety Management System requirements
- Coordinate internal audits and support external audits conducted by Flag State, Class and third party auditors
- Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of Safety Management System procedures
- Review safety alerts, industry lessons learned and regulatory updates, ensuring fleet wide implementation
- Guide on marine related matters to ensure best and safe practices (e.g., cargo handling, PSC and Safety Inspections responses, emergency preparedness, navigation, safety)
- Assist Marine Operation Lead and Contract Manager in operations
- Appraise / provide feedback for appraisals of the marine crew
- Manage, oversee and guide within all maintenance and nautical matters
- Initiate and drive crew trainings, identify gaps and rooms for improvement to raise crew quality, skills and abilities
- Prepare vessels for PSC, Flag and RS inspections
Requirements
- Work experience in the marine sector for at least 10 years
- Work experience on seagoing vessels as a Captain or Chief Officer
- English knowledge
- Willingness to travel and provide onboard audits
- High level of responsibility, independence and organization
- Ability to work in a team and interact effectively with various departments
