Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced **HSE Officer** to support health, safety, and environmental management activities within our oil and gas operations.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable local and international HSE standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all work sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work documentation.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain emergency preparedness plans.
  • Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements, Qatar regulations, and international standards.
  • Maintain HSE records, statistics, reports, and documentation.
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives on HSE matters.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Valid NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
  • Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, First Aid, or Fire Safety are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Familiarity with Qatar HSE regulations and international standards.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in demanding field environments and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong leadership and safety coaching abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with major oil & gas operators and EPC contractors.
  • Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
