Job Summary

Assist with executing safety practices and procedures, including project HSE plan implementation, task analysis, hazard and risk evaluation, control recommendations, accident investigation, and HSE training.

Help safeguard work execution and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor project HSE activities and site operations against the project HSE plan and HSEMS requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures and evacuation plans for field locations.
  • Provide training on incident prevention, first aid, safety awareness, and related HSE subjects.
  • Identify hazards and unsafe conditions, raise observation reports, and record corrective measures.
  • Prepare HSE performance data and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, employee orientations, site inductions, and emergency procedure briefings.
  • Verify task risk assessments, equipment inspections, and maintenance of required logs.
  • Support HSE initiatives, safety awareness, incident reporting, and resolution under company and IMS policies.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards relevant to the industry.
  • Proficiency in risk assessments and hazard analyses, including development of mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication with management, employees, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, is listed as a functional skill for success in the role.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum five years of working experience, including three years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of GCC experience is listed as a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, an Engineering Diploma in NEBOSH, or another related technical certificate.
  • Competencies include agility, AI fluency, resilience, quality, and leadership.
  • Listed competency areas include Job Safety Analysis L2, HACCP L2, Safety Inspections L2, Safety Management L2, and Safety Policies and Procedures L2.
