Job Summary

Assist with executing safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe project working environment.

Implement project HSE plans, conduct task analysis, evaluate hazards and risks, recommend controls, and investigate incidents.

Project HSE Responsibilities

  • Monitor project HSE activities and site operations against the project HSE plan and HSE management system requirements.
  • Develop emergency response and evacuation procedures for field locations.
  • Train workers in incident prevention, first aid, safety awareness, and other HSE subjects.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and practices, raise observation reports, and track corrective measures.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE performance reports.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and employee orientations on accident reporting and emergency procedures.
  • Implement site induction programs for employees, visitors, suppliers, and project personnel.
  • Ensure task risk assessments are prepared and communicated before work starts.
  • Inspect plants, equipment, tools, machinery, safety equipment, and fire extinguishers and maintain logs.
  • Support HSE initiatives, safety awareness activities, incident reporting, and resolution.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Understand health, safety, and environmental regulations and relevant industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate HSE policies and initiatives clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional skills are preferred.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum five years of working experience, including at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, engineering diploma in NEBOSH, or a related technical certificate.
