Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company's HSE policies, procedures, and safety management system at project sites.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Perform risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for piling operations.
• Ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance with approved method statements and permit-to-work systems.
• Conduct safety induction training for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Organize and conduct regular toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor lifting operations, excavation works, piling activities, heavy equipment operations, confined space entry, and work at height.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, incident reports, and safety statistics.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency preparedness at project sites.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, dust control, noise control, and pollution prevention.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities regarding HSE matters.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of equipment, machinery, and work areas.
• Stop unsafe work practices and recommend corrective actions whenever required.
• Support management in achieving project HSE objectives and maintaining an incident-free workplace.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• IOSH and NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• Minimum **3–5 years of HSE experience in the piling, foundation, geotechnical, or heavy construction industry**.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, ADNOC (if applicable), and local authority safety requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Experience in preparing risk assessments, method statements, HSE reports, and safety documentation.
• Strong understanding of piling rigs, cranes, excavators, heavy equipment, lifting operations, and excavation safety.
• Excellent incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct HSE training and toolbox talks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience

• Piling Industry: 3 years (Preferred)

License And Certification

• IOSH (Required)
• NEBOSH (Required)
