Job Summary

The HSE Officer supports execution of safety practices and procedures on projects.

The role covers HSE plan implementation, task analysis, hazard evaluation, control recommendations, incident investigation, training, and safe work execution.

Project HSE Responsibilities

  • Monitor site activities and HSE performance against project HSE plans and HSE management system requirements.
  • Develop emergency response and evacuation procedures for field locations.
  • Deliver safety, incident prevention, first aid, and awareness training.
  • Identify hazards and unsafe practices, document observations, and track corrective measures.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE performance reports.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, employee orientations, site inductions, and accident reporting briefings.
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed and communicated before each task begins.
  • Inspect plant, equipment, tools, machinery, harnesses, and fire extinguishers and maintain inspection logs.
  • Support HSE initiatives, incident reporting, and resolution in line with company and integrated management system policies.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum five years of working experience, including at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of GCC experience is listed as a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, an Engineering Diploma in NEBOSH, or a related technical certificate.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in risk assessments and hazard analyses.
  • Ability to investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs.
  • Effective communication with management, employees, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, is preferred.
  • Listed competencies include agility, AI fluency, resilience, quality, leadership, Job Safety Analysis L2, HACCP L2, safety inspections L2, and safety management L2.
