Job summary
The HSE Officer implements, monitors, and continually improves health, safety, and environmental practices on construction sites.
The role supports regulatory compliance, safety culture, inspections, training, risk management, incident investigations, and safety documentation.
Safety inspections and risk management
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and verify adherence to safety protocols.
- Audit equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment for compliance.
- Monitor safety signage and keep emergency exits and evacuation routes clear.
- Identify construction risks and implement effective control measures.
- Develop, implement, and monitor job safety analyses and risk assessments.
- Review and update safety policies and procedures in line with current standards and regulations.
Training and incident management
- Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, awareness programs, and induction training for employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of safety-related incidents and report them to management.
